San Antonio Bar & Grill is a full service Mexican casual dining restaurant. The menu also includes Peruvian, Salvadorian, and Cuban fares.
As far as I know, it is one of the 2 best options in metro DC area if you are looking for Tex-Mex food. So, it is pretty exciting that they are located in Brookland.
The owner, Mr. Vargas, was part owner of the well-known DC restaurant Lauriol Plaza in Adams Morgan and he was also the original owner of Banana Café on Barrack's Row.
San Antonio features outstanding specials. Check out their Weekend brunch: $3.25 mimosa and$8 huevos rancheros, or stop by for their Happy Hour (3-7pm, Mon-Sat). Specials include $3 cocktails, domestic beer and wine, $3.50 cocktails, and ½ priced appetizers among which $3 nachos.
They are located on 12th street NE 2 blocks down from the CVS and right across the yes organic supermarket.
